Grantchester Hotels, supported by a UK institution, submitted a purchase offer to Cambridgeshire County Council for the freehold interest in its headquarters for the purpose of conversion into the 5-star Hyatt Unbound Hotel totalling 235 keys, together with Hyatt’s extended stay brand, Hyatt House totalling 99 keys. Grantchester were to take a 25-year lease, the hotel to be operated by Interstate Hotels & Resorts, based on a Hyatt franchise.
